WasteandChemicals supported the initiative of the “BurkinaKamba” group, which operates within the NGO “Bambini nel deserto”, for the purchase of 20 school desks with recycled polyethylene tops that were destined for the school in the Mougeya village in Burkina Faso.

The school desks are made by the Yamba-D cooperative, based in Ouagadougou, which collects waste bags and recovers them through a melting process. The project called «Le victorie sur les sachets» allows the collection of 120 tons of polyethylene plastic bags every year and the creation of 4000 desk tops.
